A LIL DREAMER CHILDCARE

A Loving and Caring Home

My name is Amy Hix and I am a Certified Childcare Home Provider, catering to 6 month and up. My business background allows me to set-up a great preschool environment with a science and math center, a free-art center, a reading center, and a blocks & building. A huge dramatic play area. (Children learn through imagination and fun!) I also offer daily music and movement, circle-time, art activity and gross motor skill developmental activities in my huge fully-fenced backyard. I provide a six foot cedar fence around my backyard for the children's protection.

LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS

I am located in the Terra Linda School District and am very close to the school bus stop. I am located on the corner of Cornell and Murray tucked away on a cul-de-sac in a lovely quiet neighborhood. I am easily accessable to HWY 26.

QUALIFICATIONS
I have been doing full-time childcare for about 8 years. I began with in-home care, then as a preschool teacher in a Center, and also as a Childcare Center Director, in charge of all operations. Work on my CDA is currently on going. I hold my Food Handlers Card, a CPR and First Aid Certification and continually attend professional training classes to further my knowledge in Childcare Education.

There are ongoing trainings all year round. I recently went to two seperate trainings on the developmental stages of three and four year olds. Great information and a very enjoyable class.

EXPERIENCE

Working in the childcare field for so many years, I have encountered all different and unique situations. The experience is never ending. You are always learning new techniques and gaining know-how of the childcare industry every day. Being a member of PRO and having a network working together is a great help.
